Dubai’s Roads and Transport Agency (RTA) has launched a transport service at nine new marine stations at Dubai Water Canal and the Business Bay. The service extends to five marine stations along the Canal, namely Sheikh Zayed Road, Safa Park, Al Wasl, Jumeirah and Dubai Canal stations. The service also extends to four marine stations along Business Bay, namely Dubai Design District, Al Wajeha Al Maeyah, Marasi and Business Bay stations. The total number of marine transport stations and stops in Dubai has now risen to 42.
The marine service is available on demand on board the RTA’s Water Taxi from 10am to 10pm in all the new marine stations. Dubai Ferry offers service in five marine stations, two at Dubai Water Canal, and three at Business Bay. There are three newly scheduled two-way daily services for Dubai Ferry from Al Jadaf station calling at Dubai Design District, Al Wajeha Al Maeyah and Marasi stations in Business Bay; and Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Canal stations in Dubai Water Canal.
The current line of Dubai Ferry shuttling between Al Ghubaiba station and Marina Mall station has been modified to call at Dubai Canal station. Thus, Dubai Canal station links Al Ghubaiba, Marina Mall, Business Bay and Al Jadaf stations.
The tourist class fare of Dubai Ferry is AED15 to one station, AED25 to two stations, AED35 to three stations, AED45 to 4 stations, and AED50 for the entire line. The gold class fare is AED25 to one station, AED35 to two stations, AED50 to three stations, AED60 to 4 stations, andAED75 over the entire line. The Water Taxi fare ranges ranges from AED55 to AED205.
